Ambivalence is not a lack of clarity but an elastic field.
It loosens what is rigid, connects opposites, and allows the vague to take on a tangible form.
The fleeting moment of the in-between creates space for meanings to shift and familiar patterns to blur.

A subtle dialogue between two talented artists, both exceptional in their own way. Jessica Rimondi is a visual artist, sculptor and material fetishist exploring a plethora of mixed media techniques sharing space and thought with Tim van den Oudenhoven and his meta-photographic creations which draw on surveillance footage and Objets trouvés. His works feel oddly familiar rather than just cryptic and unsettling, more so in juxtaposition with Rimondi's richly layered material compositions.

The exhibition brings together former Atelier Josepha artists-in-residence Simone Kessler, Isabella Martin, Bärbel Praun and Oksana Yushko, whose collaboration began on the shores of the Baltic Sea in Ahrenshoop.

Through photography, installation, drawing and research-based artistic practice, the artists explore the connections between humans, animals and ecosystems. Migratory birds, schools of fish, ghost nets and ocean currents become part of a shared narrative about coexistence, environmental responsibility and new ways of relating to the more-than-human world.
