Yuka is a Tokyo-born, London-based dance / performance maker.

Her practice is grounded in Post Butoh / improvisation and aims to meet a moment at which her body takes her somewhere unknown. The work often emerges from the Butoh philosophy, everyday observation and tactile sensation.

Recent Projects and Exhibitions

• 2018 - A collaboration piece as 180 degrees Kinetic Being was presented at the place as a part of resolution 2018 (The UK’s biggest dance festival )
  
• 2016 - A collaboration piece with a musician Stelios Katsatsidis and a costume designer Yuliya v Krylova, The Sea Knows was presented in a gallery White Conduit Projects.
  
• 2015 - Took a part in Mari-Gabrielle Rotie's work 'Wake Butterfly it’s late We’ve miles to go together' for City of London Festival
