The artworks in the exhibition are powerful pieces, each with its individual volume and timbre; they blend into each other, sometimes harmoniously, sometimes shrilly. Sometimes competing for the listening experience, sometimes isolated in the intensity of their visual expression.
An originally solitary piece of art, created with an imaginary 'breathing space' becomes part of a composition and resonates.
LOUD is open from 22.6.-30.6. and runs throughout the festival 48 Hours Neukölln:
Paolo Barlascini's paintings follow an underlying theatrical dramaturgy, enveloping the space like a sculpture.
Claire Laude traces the fragile moment between disappearance and permanence.
Renata Müller-Tiburtius's gleaming, giant lemons invite us to experience poetry with a surreal touch.
Roman Roth has created his own genre with contemplative collages merging social landscapes and media spectacles. His new piece "Europacity" is a fine example.
Henry Rusted scouts sounds of the environment and recycles these to new sonic landscapes.
Anouk van der Voet adds another dimension with her performance which brings movements forth from stillness, each gesture a narrative within the gallery's space.
We are looking forward to your visit!
